Multiway Bodice Skater Bridesmaid Dress ONLINE ONLY

I bought this dress in several sizes for my teenage daughters who are to be bridesmaids. It is not clear from the description on the website, but the bodice of the dress is elasticated and there are no fastenings, which makes getting the dress on and off (over the head) quite tricky - I can't imagine what this would do to your hairstyle if you had already had your hair done before getting changed. This colour came up bigger in size than the burgundy dress of the same style. My girls are very slender, so if you are slightly larger around the bust/shoulders I think getting the dress on would be extremely difficult and possibly very tight to wear. The dress looked good on my daughters, but was not quite what we wanted so we are returning it.

I know the ratings I have given this dress are all over the place. That is because, in theory, this is such a great idea for a dress. So many ways to wear one dress - making it great value for money. The quality of the dress was also very good. However, it's biggest stumbling block is the fit. I am between a size 12 and 14 and heavy on top. I bought the size 14 and really, really struggled to get in (and out) of the dress. There aren't any zips or anything to help with this either. It was really, really tight around the bust area - I felt and looked like if i exhaled, the dress might rip! It's a great shame as I really, really like the dress - but there is no way I could wear it. So, back to the shop it goes....

Loved the dress, I had ordered a size bigger then what I normally ear due to previous reviews, it was big around the bust area, sadly had to return and no small size available in this colour...

Having read the other reviews, I was tempted to size up but I'm glad I decided to buy my usual size. I wouldn't say that the dress comes up small at all. My measurements are 16 but I usually buy 14 as I find size 16 clothes in the shops are usually too big. Anyway, yes wasn't completely easy to get on, but I managed to pull the dress up over my (not insubstantial) hips without ripping any seams! Came off over my shoulders very easily. Fitted great around the bust area (I'm 32GG). Despite the built in support, personally I still definitely need to wear a bra with this. It is a lovely dress, fabric hangs beautifully, very Marilyn Monroe in style. Found the ties were long enough not to look too short when wrapped around and tied at the back as another reviewer had found, but would have chosen them to be slightly longer. Colour is beautiful. Overall, good job M&S.

Awesome dress, so comfortable. I found the fit ok, but like other reviewers said, it was a little tricky to get off. This is really comfy to wear, and as previously mentioned, the fabric is quite heavy so the dress sits nicely.

Love the fact that you can wear it lots of different ways but it is so hard to get into, no zips on the bodice and once you are in only another person helping can get you out. Having said that if I go out anywhere I wouldn't be planning to take it off until I get home anyway.

I am always a size 8 in M&S but I couldn't get this dress on passed my hips or over my head

I love this dress, the fabric is floaty and the colour really striking. Others commented on the tight fit, so I went a size up, and they were right - there's a lycra-like top half which needs to slip over your head or hips and that is quite tight, but... for those of us with a smaller bust, that meant that the preshaped bodice actually is quite large for me. The straps can cover that up thought, so I am keeping the dress

This dress is so gorgeous I can't wait to wear it. Came in just 4 days and fits beautifully. Wow!
